* The Body Snatcher / I Walked With a Zombie (Sealed DVD) - hard to believe that The Val Lewton box & especially the classic Karloff/Lugosi vehicle has gone out of print this quickly! While Bela plays a subservient role, Body Snatcher is essential for classic horror fans as one of the few Karloff/Lugosi collaborations For years this film was highly sought after by both BK & BL collectors, and as it's already gone out of print, get it while you can! * Isle Of The Dead / Bedlam (Sealed DVD) - From the Val Lewton box, this features 2 classic 40's Boris Karloff vehicles Isle of the Dead is one of the strangest (almost) Vampire movies ever, & Bedlam is about torture in an 18th century London mental Asylum with BK as the bad guy Out of print & recommended This is a cutout Warner 7242 Was $6 99, this week $4 99 (7)

* The Ninth Gate (Sealed DVD) - Suspenseful Gothic horror thriller stars Johnny Depp Directed by Roman Polanski This is the newer Lions Gate edition with new cover art Rated "R", widescreen Lions Gate 21285 Was $6 99, this week $5 99 (5)

* Return Of The Vampire (Sealed DVD) - Ok, Bela Lugosi fans, you've got to pick this one up! While a later period film that does have a tacky Werewolf costume, this is basically Bela reprising his role as Dracula Universal owned the rights to the name "Dracula", so here Bela is "Armand Tesla", but it's largely an older version of the same character The only other time bela got to play the vampire after this was in an Abbot & Costello B-flick Bela was actually quite good in that, but I have trouble getting past A&C's constant irritation If like me you're a Lugosi fan, I recommend this, I paid quite a bit more for my copy! * Freaks DVD - Hard to explain this ODD film in a short description Most people who see it either love it or hate it From 1932, this was Todd Browning's (director of the Lugosi Dracula) most infamous film Starred Wallace Ford & Leila Hyams with numerous circus performers from what was known as "the freak show" part of the circus in those days While there is a semblance of a melodrama murder plot, this was basically intended as an early exploitation shocker Restored edition also includes a documentary, commentary & 3 alternate endings Warner 51912 $6 99

To the best of my knowledge, every film on this list is currently unavailable in the USA on commercially released dvd These are collector's films that we're offering to you on dvd-r In most cases the quality is quite a bit higher then what you'll find on ebay (the few that I'm aware of that are below average are indicated), but also in many cases the quality is slightly-somewhat lower then a major studio dvd I'm always glad to answer any questions about the source and quality of any film on the list before you order The films are on burned dvd-r's Most players made in the last 10 years will have no problems with them, some older machines might have some difficulty In most cases I'm using the "-r" format, but please let us know if your machine specifically requires either "+r" or "-r" We are using highest quality Tayio Yuden & Falcon discs Most films are in USA NTSC format A few are noted as being in European Pal format All are region free A few have menus, most have chapter stops but no menu
