As this is a long list (with tons of really good stuff!), I'm going to keep housekeeping stuff to a minimum this week Really just 3 things to share:

1. We're back to plain text (likely for good) 2 reasons: issues between our html software & Yahoo mail & lots of reports of folks not receiving

   5 at all Sorry, I know the html looks much better (unless you're using

Yahoo, in which case it's a jumbled mess!), but it's no good if it never makes it to your inbox!

1. I intend to keep prices as low as possible similar to the last 2 newsletters

2. I know it's August, but oddly our biggest seller lately on ebay has been Christmas cd's, & we just got in over 100 quality new titles, so I hope to have a very early holiday music & movie list out to you in the next 2 weeks Of course the best laid plans of Geffs & cats !

Now on to the music & films! We've had some really great buys since the last newsletter, & I'm going to try to mention stuff by category This one really is worth browsing through, though!

First in rock cd's, we received orders from 2 of our overstock wholesalers, & while a good portion of one is xmas music I'm saving for the next newsletter, we received a number of titles from artists that we don't usually see in overstock: French singer-songwriter Keren Ann (my new fav), Lily Allen, all 4 Jefferson Airplane Collector's Choice limited edition live sets, some very cool Ian Matthews remastered UK "2fers" & 2 cd sets, Joni Mitchell, Madeline Peyroux (a duo cd I didn't even know existed until we got it in!), a Carly Simon 2 cd best of, a James Taylor covers cd, 3 Richard Thompson titles, Suzanne Vega's latest, a bunch of rare Time-Life titles & more We also got in several more of the dated best Buy stores exclusives, & while you'll find most of them in dvd's, cd's include both versions of Chickenfoot (1 & 2 disc) & the exclusive 3 disc Who Endless Wire & that's just a small sampling!

In jazz we received a large selection of Denmark's Storyville collector's cd's & at best pricing ever, & also purchased a nice jazz & pop collection I'm not going to mention titles here, but for jazz fans it's definitely worth a browse!

Highlights in Blues include 2 remastered UK only John Mayall 2 cd sets We've also got a nice acoustic selection, including 2 of the now ultra rare Loreena Mckennitt 2 disc remasters, a Bruce Cockburn all instrumental best of, the newest Patty larkin, an expanded edition of Jennifer Warnes Famous Blue Raincoat & more
